Who is Armstrong Knight?

I am Armstrong Knight—an interpreter, an innovator, and the architect behind Linguist Toolkit, Linguist Nation, and Language Service Providers (LSP Engine). I didn’t just enter this industry. I was born into it. Raised in a Deaf household as a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), my first language wasn’t spoken—it was signed. Communication wasn’t just a profession for me; it was survival, culture, and identity.

From childhood, I saw firsthand the gaps in language access, the bottlenecks that kept linguists and clients stuck in outdated, bureaucratic processes. I knew there had to be a better way. Not just for the clients looking for seamless language solutions, but for the interpreters and translators constantly undervalued by corporate agencies chasing profit margins over fair pay.

So, I built Linguist Toolkit to automate and empower independent linguists.
I launched Linguist Nation to unite interpreters and translators outside of corporate control.
And now, I’m bringing Language Service Providers (LSP Engine)—the world’s first AI-integrated, self-service language logistics system—to put the power back in the hands of the professionals and their clients.

Why I Built This

Because language access is not a luxury. It’s a right.

But somewhere along the way, language services became an industry run by NASDAQ and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) instead of human connections. We observed the rise and fall of American language family dynasties, Since sold to hedge funds and investment firms listed on the stock market. What was once a family company formed into agencies billing you $400 an hour, but tell linguist they’re we’re worth only $25 because the stock market needs its cut. Instead of skilled linguists setting fair rates and delivering quality work, we got stock market-driven pricing models, agencies marking up interpreter fees 1000%, and clients forced to pay just to figure out a schedule.

Interpreters got suppressed. Clients got frustrated. Everyone lost.

And that’s why I did what no one else would. I built a system that eliminates the middleman. Forever!
